Do you wonder if you are "doing it right"? Don't stress, you're not alone!

I couldn't tell you how many times people have 'confessed' to me that despite practicing meditation for a while or even a long time, they still suffer with a mental commentary that suggests they are not meditating deep enough, long enough or effective enough. This internal critic can sabotage a perfectly sound meditation and lead to giving up completely.
1. Aim for acceptance.
This is all about accessing the power of now. Make a decision to refrain from judgments and let your practice be just that, a practice. No meditation can be perfect because we are dealing with consciousness and its not about getting it "right".
2. Cultivate your inner observer.
Let "ah, interesting" be your default phrase as you notice the many different states of body, mind and heart as you meditate. Everything effects us each day. The food we eat, our hormones, sleep or lack there of and so much more! Try to be curious as you notice your different states of being and refrain from passing judgements.
3. Less is more
Three minutes of absolute focus ans sustained awareness can be more powerful and beneficial than twenty minutes of dancing with the "Monkey Mind"! Rather than attempt to aim for a specif period of time of meditation, aim to increase your capacity to remained focused. Even three long and sustained breaths done well can have a huge impact on your nervous system.
