There are many reasons why people choose counselling & psychotherapy. Depending on your situation and what you want to achieve, the frequency and duration of sessions may differ. A little more about me..

​

A long career as a paramedic set me on a path of healing which had many twists and turns. Part of this journey has seen me working as a meditation facilitator and counsellor. After ten years in private practice serving many clients with significant trauma, I decided to deepen my studies and I completed a Master's degree in Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy (JNI/ Torrens university) in 2021. The modality of therapy that fell in love with is called Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and I am a Level 1 trained IFSTherapist

If you are wondering why I refer to "we" , it is because I have a number of exceptional psychotherapists to whom I refer clients that may not be suited or able to work with me and I consider this network of people very much a part of my team. All this and more can be discussed when we have a chat over the phone,

What's it all about?

Psychotherapy is about deep personal growth and change. There is a certain healing power that happens in this space as we meet and talk. I bring a client centred approach to the work and view every session through a trauma informed lens and practice. Life issues I am most comfortable being with include (but not limited to):

-  Anxiety and depression

- Alcohol & other substances

- Process addiction

-Grief & loss

- Trauma & tricky stuff

- Relationship issues
