Therapy for Frontline Professionals

Supporting police, paramedics and firefighters navigating trauma, operational stress and career transitions.

Supporting Police, Paramedics and Firefighters

Frontline work places extraordinary demands on the nervous system, identity and sense of meaning. Many police, paramedics and firefighters seek support only once symptoms become overwhelming, yet therapy can be equally powerful as a proactive tool for maintaining clarity, resilience and peak functioning in demanding roles.

This work is designed not only to relieve anxiety, trauma responses and burnout, but also to support optimisation — helping frontline professionals process the accumulated impact of the job, strengthen internal leadership and return to work with greater steadiness, perspective and emotional range.

Trauma-Informed Therapy and EMDR

You do not need a diagnosis of PTSD to benefit from trauma-informed therapy or EMDR sessions. These approaches allow traumatic material to be processed safely and without overwhelm, helping experiences move through the nervous system before they accumulate into deeper distress.

When addressed early, operational experiences can be integrated in a way that supports long-term wellbeing, resilience and sustained effectiveness in demanding roles.

Support Through Career Transition

Talk based therapy can also be particularly valuable for those considering transitioning out of frontline roles, or for those who have already left and are navigating the emotional aftermath of that change.

Many professionals experience the effects of a poorly managed exit process, including a sense of betrayal, grief, loss of identity, depression or anxiety. Therapy provides space to process both operational experiences and the deeper personal impact of leaving a role that may have shaped much of your identity and purpose.

Reduced Rate for Frontline Professionals

All currently serving and previously serving police, paramedics and firefighters are offered an ongoing reduced rate of $180 per session.

This rate is available regardless of session frequency and does not require a diagnosis, referral or workers compensation claim.

Lived Experience and Clinical Training

What I bring to this work is uncommon: more than 25 years of lived frontline experience, alongside extensive professional training in counselling, psychotherapy and trauma-focused modalities including EMDR.

This combination offers a level of cultural understanding and clinical support specifically attuned to the realities of frontline life.
