WORKING TOGETHER
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, caught in old patterns, or ready to make sense of what has happened to you without re-traumatising yourself, therapy can offer a steady place to begin.
You don’t need the right words or a neatly formed story. We can start with what feels present — in your body, your relationships, or your day-to-day life — and build from there.
ABOUT SANDY
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for many years as a paramedic. Supporting people through acute crisis shaped my understanding of trauma, resilience and the nervous system.
For more than a decade in private practice, I have worked with individuals navigating significant trauma and life transitions. In 2021, I completed a Master’s degree in Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy (JNI / Torrens University).
My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), alongside trauma-informed and relational approaches.
HOW WE WORK
Therapy with me is not only about resolving immediate difficulties. It is also about creating space for deeper personal integration and long-term change.
I take a client-centred, trauma-informed approach, adapting the work to your pace and goals.
- Anxiety and depression
- Substance use and behavioural addictions
- Grief and loss
- Trauma and complex relational challenges
- Relationship difficulties
- Periods of transition
- Proactive wellbeing and personal growth
You do not need to be in crisis to begin therapy. There is value in reflection during stable seasons of life, too.
Sessions offer a confidential space to think clearly, feel safely and move forward intentionally.
Trauma-Informed Therapy Approaches
Psychotherapy for meaningful, steady change.
COMPLIMENTARY INITIAL CONSULTATION
A free 15-minute conversation gives us space to explore what’s bringing you here and whether working together feels like a good fit.
There is no obligation — just a chance to ask questions and clarify the next step.
COLLABORATIVE CARE
When I occasionally use the word “we,” I’m referring to a trusted professional network of experienced psychotherapists.
If at any point I believe another practitioner may better support your needs, I will discuss referral options openly. Your care always comes first.
